Maggie advises both public and private companies on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including initial public offerings (IPOs), reverse mergers, de-SPAC transactions, corporate governance, and securities compliance.
Over the course of her practice, Maggie has developed substantial experience in structuring and executing complex transactions while providing clients with strategic and forward-looking regulatory guidance. Her work includes advising companies on ongoing reporting obligations under U.S. securities laws, Section 16 and Schedule 13G/D disclosure requirements, corporate governance matters, shareholder activism response strategies, and takeover defense planning.
Maggie has also represented life sciences companies, growth-stage businesses, and investment funds in a wide range of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investment transactions. Her experience spans transaction structuring, due diligence, negotiation of transaction documents, and deal execution through closing. With experience across both the U.S. and China markets, she helps clients navigate complex legal and regulatory environments while advancing business objectives and managing transactional risk.

Prior to joining ILS, Maggie practiced at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, one of the leading international law firms consistently ranked among the top U.S. firms by Vault. She earned her undergraduate law degree from Fudan University School of Law and previously practiced at Tian Yuan Law Firm in Shanghai before obtaining her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law. She was inducted into the Order of the Coif honor society in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement.
