ILS Celebrates the Grand Opening of Its New Los Angeles Office
Updated: 3 hours ago
On October 22, 2026, ILS LLP welcomed clients, business leaders, and longtime friends to celebrate the grand opening of its new Los Angeles office at 355 S. Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles.
Guests traveled from across Southern California, the Bay Area, and even China to join the celebration. For some, it was a chance to reconnect with attorneys who had guided them through pivotal business decisions. For others, it was their first opportunity to experience ILS beyond the conference room.
More than an office opening, the evening was a celebration of the relationships that have shaped ILS—and the people who continue to make its growth possible.
A new chapter for ILS, made possible by the people who have been part of its story.

Built on Trust. Growing Together.
A law firm’s growth can be measured in many ways: new offices, expanded practices, and a growing team of attorneys. But behind every milestone are the people who made it possible.
Over the years, ILS has had the privilege of working alongside entrepreneurs building their first businesses, established companies entering new markets, and industry leaders navigating complex legal challenges.

Some of those relationships began with a single contract or an urgent legal question. Others have grown into years of collaboration, spanning transactions, litigation, compliance, and business expansion.
On October 22, many of those relationships came together under one roof.
The new office was filled with flowers sent by clients and business partners, while a message wall quickly became a collection of handwritten congratulations and personal notes. Throughout the evening, familiar faces exchanged hugs, old friends caught up, and new connections formed.

These were the moments that mattered most. Because the strongest client relationships are not built around a single matter. They are earned through years of trust, shared challenges, and results that matter.
A New Office. A Bigger Vision.
At 5:15 p.m., guests gathered for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. ILS partners took the stage to introduce their practices and share the expertise behind the firm’s expanding legal capabilities—from corporate transactions and complex litigation to intellectual property, employment, immigration, and regulatory compliance.
Managing Partner Richard Liu, Esq. addressed the guests, reflecting on the firm’s journey and expressing his appreciation for the clients, colleagues, and business partners who have contributed to its success.

As the ribbon was cut and the room erupted in applause, the moment marked more than the opening of a new workplace.
It represented how far ILS has come—and where the firm intends to go. From its roots in Los Angeles, ILS has grown into a firm with offices in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and Shanghai, supporting businesses across industries and international markets.

As clients face increasingly sophisticated legal and commercial challenges, ILS continues to invest in exceptional talent, deeper practice capabilities, and stronger collaboration across its offices.
The new Los Angeles office reflects that commitment: building a stronger, more connected firm equipped to serve clients at every stage of their growth.
Serious About the Law. Not Afraid to Have Fun.
Rather than hosting a traditional reception filled with formal presentations, ILS wanted guests to experience the firm in a more personal way.
Throughout the new office, six interactive stations brought ten of ILS’s core practice areas to life. Guests stepped into a mock courtroom, climbed a venture capital challenge from seed funding to IPO, and tested their instincts on real-world artificial intelligence and intellectual property scenarios.
Each station was hosted by ILS attorneys, turning complex legal concepts into approachable conversations, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter.

Attorneys who typically spend their days navigating high-stakes disputes and sophisticated transactions found themselves cheering on contestants, explaining game rules, and celebrating each completed challenge.
The experience offered a different perspective on what it means to work with ILS.
Great legal counsel requires more than knowing the law. It requires understanding business, communicating clearly, and connecting with the people behind every decision.
That is the spirit ILS hoped to share with every guest.

Good Conversations. Great Company. A Night to Remember.
As the evening unfolded, the new office came alive. Over cocktails, dinner, and sweeping views of Downtown Los Angeles, entrepreneurs exchanged ideas, business leaders explored new connections, and longtime clients caught up with the attorneys they had come to know and trust.

Across the office, guests moved between conversations and interactive challenges, collecting stamps along the way. The evening concluded with a prize drawing, bringing another round of cheers and applause.

Yet some of the best moments happened away from the spotlight. A spontaneous conversation between old friends. A shared laugh over a missed trivia question. A quick photograph that turned into a lasting memory.

The kind of moments that rarely make it into a formal business announcement—but say a great deal about the people behind a firm. For ILS, the evening was a reminder that relationships are at the heart of everything the firm does.
The Next Chapter Starts Here.
A celebration like this belongs to everyone who helped make it possible. To the clients and friends who traveled across cities and continents to join us, to the partners who sent their congratulations, and to every member of the ILS team who worked behind the scenes: thank you.
Your trust, support, and dedication have helped shape the firm ILS is today.
As ILS enters its next chapter, the firm remains focused on attracting outstanding legal talent, strengthening its multidisciplinary capabilities, and delivering the strategic, business-minded counsel its clients depend on.
The new office represents an investment in that future. But the foundation remains the same.
