Fiona Xu is a solutions-focused attorney with extensive experience supporting global and high-growth technology companies on compliance and business needs.

Her practice focuses on regulatory compliance across different sectors, with a focus on sector-specific regulations for artificial intelligence (AI) and medical devices. She supports multinational corporations in establishing and maintaining U.S. operations, managing legal and compliance challenges in various areas such as Privacy, Export Control, and CFIUS issues.

Prior to joining ILS, Fiona worked at a boutique law firm in Silicon Valley where she advised both VC funds, and start-up entrepreneurs on creative capital-raising, and investment structures, including securities disclosure, reporting, and compliance matters. She was also a senior in-house counsel for a unicorn AI start-up, where she took the legal executive leadership role and guided the company on US regulatory compliance, global tax structure, cross-border reorganizations, intellectual property migrations, and transfer pricing issues.
