Edward (Ted) Wells

Ted is a Partner and serves as the Head of Litigation at ILS, where he advocates for companies in complex commercial, employment, and wage-and-hour disputes, backed by over a decade of securing significant victories in federal and state courts and arbitrations.

Ted achieved tremendous early success, obtaining five favorable published opinions from the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in his first five years of practice. He has obtained jury verdicts and settlements worth millions of dollars, as well as numerous early dismissals before trial. Ted has practiced in trial and appellate courts of all levels, both state and federal.

Ted’s practice focuses on advocating for businesses in disputes of various kinds. Before joining ILS, Ted practiced civil rights, constitutional law, and employment law on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. He worked closely with a retired Missouri Court of Appeals judge in private practice, and worked for a United States Magistrate Judge while in law school. Ted’s broad experience provides him with unique insights that allow him to find the best solutions for his clients at the best cost to them.
