Becky Li focuses her practice on corporate and transactional matters, with an emphasis on cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture financings, capital markets, and corporate governance.
Before joining ILS, Becky built a broad transactional foundation at two leading Chinese law firms, Tian Yuan Law Firm and Jingtian & Gongcheng, working on significant cross-border and capital markets transactions spanning venture and private equity investments, M&A, Hong Kong IPOs, offshore debt offerings, corporate restructurings, and Cayman Islands investment funds.
Becky brings a practical understanding of the legal, commercial, and cultural considerations that shape cross-border transactions. Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, she is well positioned to work with clients and counsel across U.S. and Chinese business environments. Her approach emphasizes meticulous, detail-driven execution, informed by her experience working on complex capital markets and M&A transactions.

• Represented a leading Chinese life sciences technology company in a Series B financing of over US$1 billion, co-led by prominent global investment firms and involving a consortium of institutional investors.
• Represented a Hong Kong-listed conglomerate in a series of strategic acquisitions involving businesses across the agricultural commodities, industrial e-commerce, and technology sectors.
• Represented sponsors in the formation and structuring of multiple Cayman Islands private investment funds utilizing SPC and ELP structures, with investment portfolios spanning technology, fintech, healthcare, and consumer internet companies.
• Represented issuers and other transaction parties in multiple Hong Kong Stock Exchange IPOs and pre-IPO restructurings across the real estate, industrial manufacturing, and environmental sectors, including transactions involving PRC corporate reorganizations and cross-border listing structures.
