Susan is an associate specializing in transaction and compliance.

Susan Shu has years of experience advising multinational clients on various aspects of mergers and acquisitions, outbound and inbound investment matters, and general corporate matters. She has worked on establishing a VIE structure for an international investor to gain ownership of a Chinese internet company. She also has counseled international investors in private equity and venture capital transactions, where she was responsible for drafting due diligence reports and transaction documents.

Prior to joining ILS, Susan worked for a leading international law firm and an international e-commerce company. Her experience as an in-house legal counsel in one of the largest e-commerce companies provides her with an unparalleled understanding of what constitutes practical legal advice.

Having practiced and attended law schools in two countries, Susan embraces complexity. She is passionate about solving real problems and helping businesses to meet their goals.
