Guiting is an Associate Counsel on the litigation team at ILS’s Los Angeles office, specializing in employment law and commercial litigation. She brings extensive experience advising multinational corporations on complex cross-border commercial disputes, securities listings, and compliance matters. With her multicultural background and strong commercial acumen, Guiting is adept at understanding clients’ needs and securing favorable outcomes.
Before joining ILS, Guiting worked at a leading international law firm, advising multinational corporations on cross-border securities offerings, investment transactions, and corporate compliance. She ensured that securities transactions and corporate governance adhered to both Chinese and international regulations, addressing a diverse range of commercial needs. She later transitioned to a top Chinese law firm, where she counseled publicly listed companies and private equity funds on securities litigation, M&A disputes, and shareholder derivative actions. Guiting successfully defended clients in various lawsuits, helping them recover or mitigate losses through innovative case strategies and strategic settlements.
Complementing her expertise in cross-border matters, Guiting externed for a United States Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of New York during her time at Columbia Law School, where she gained hands-on experience in U.S. litigation by drafting decisions, conducting legal research, and assisting in court proceedings. After graduating, she joined a New York-based law firm, representing clients in U.S. securities disputes and intellectual property litigation.
Outside her legal career, Guiting is an avid amateur photographer, capturing life’s emotions and moments through her lens to tell nuanced stories. She also enjoys traveling and hiking, which provide her with the rejuvenation to approach her work with renewed focus.
